Our Story
The National Military Archives was founded by Will Twomey in 2012 with the goal of preserving and sharing the artifacts of America's military leaders and heroes. By looking at conflicts and other events through the lens of personal stories, our goal is to highlight the individual contributions and sacrifices that define key moments in American history. We are a non-government 501(c)3 non-profit organization and have collaborated with numerous institutions across the country including the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture, the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the Palm Springs Air Museum, the Michigan Heroes Museum, and the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
